Ngaio Scout Group
Welcome to the Ngaio Scout Group. We are over 50 years old and one of the larger groups in the Wellington Zone with over 100 members.
Our Scout Group covers Keas - Venturers and our area covers Ngaio through to Crofton Downs.
We provide our members with the following:
- Knowledge of the outdoors
- Camping and Bushcraft skills
- Networks of people to meet
- Teamwork
- Respect for themselves and all around them
Scouts New Zealand
We come under the blanket of Scouts New Zealand and the Wellington Zone. They provide our uniforms and the connection to the other groups in Wellington and throughout the country.
There is a Team above each group who manage and assist us when needed, they help organise Zone events and provide the backing for our Scouts to go to Jamboree. More information is available on the NZ Scouts website here: www.scouts.org.nz
Leaders
We
have around 20 Leaders in the group between all the sections. This is
not always enough and we are always looking for new Leaders. If you would like to help, you can
